In it for the long haul: persistent symptoms and what they mean to your practice

Agenda

This webinar is the fifth in a series (the second in 2021) that addresses issues that healthcare providers may face when they treat patients with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) during the COVID-19 pandemic. This 1-hour session will cover the long-term effects that a coronavirus infection may have on various organ systems in the body, including the lungs, heart, kidneys, liver, and central nervous system. A panel discussion and interactive Q&A session addressing questions from the audience will round off the webinar. At this time, viewers worldwide will have the opportunity to engage with the faculty.

Learning objectives

After this webinar, participants should be able to:

  • Evaluate best practices in the management of patients with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) during the current COVID-19 pandemic
  • Review, from virology and epidemiology viewpoints, how to make plans for future patient management
  • Discuss how evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic will shape the treatment of IMIDs
